Thermistors are used with temperature controllers for temperature feedback/control, for monitoring secondary
system temperatures, and as over-temperature safety sensors. The lead wires can be lengthened if necessary
(within a reasonable amount) as any electrical resistance of the wire is generally negligible compared to the
thermistor resistance. The key features of the thermistors are the resistance curve, the physical dimensions
of the sensor, the type of wire, and if the ends of the wires are terminated with the 0.250 inch "Fast-On"
terminals that some of TE Technology's temperature controllers use. (These terminals can also be added or
removed as needed and it will not affect the performance of the sensor.) Each temperature controller has one
sensor included as part of the package, but additional sensors can be ordered if a different style or a second
sensor is needed.
